Pictures of London Crown Courts
September 17, 2013 Uncategorized

Barristerblogger has always been rather short of pictures.

However our top photographer  has sent in a series of inspiring pictures of London court facilities with the suggestion that I should publish them to a wider audience.

Sadly I am now a rare visitor to London courts but it is interesting to see how the inspirational architecture and facilities are playing their part in keeping up the morale of a profession which might otherwise be feeling a little jaded.

So here are the pictures

  1. The Bar Mess at Snaresbrook showing a cordoned off area where the ceiling is collapsing. Doesn’t the cappuccino look delicious?

4.  Soup of the day, or perhaps yesterday, at Woolwich. An autoservire classic: “sludcz cjorba”  from Cluj, it was popular in the last days of Ceausescou.

5.  Greenery at Harrow. Visitors are struck by how everyone attending this court takes a fierce pride in looking after the many pot-plants that make Harrow a genuine rival to Vita Sackville-West’s gardens at Sissinghurst. Do try to visit in mid-September when the palms are at their best.
